As the sneaker community in the Vancouver area continue to grow, the demand of limited release kicks become harder and harder for the busy "working class" to cop. We try to sweet talk retailers, beg in Buy and Sell groups online for a size of your grails, go online to auction sites and pray that the pair you want is affordable.
But recently, with the success of business models such as Flight Club, the consignment marketplace has become more and more frequent. Especially in the Vancouver, Canada region. Now, with February just around the corner, another sneaker consignment store is just about ready to open it's door to the public.
I got to have a chat with owner/ operator of the Sneaker Vault, Isaac Payne, to discuss how he got the idea, and where he sees the company is heading in the future. Perhaps a hint to what's in store in the very near future as well.
